I have a very like problem which recently started on my 1 and a one-half year quondam laptop. Suddenly shuts downward when battery reaches most 60%., but no shut downs when plugged in.

I uninstalled the ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and it seemed to stay on by what would initially be 60% (since you tin't actually see the percentage anymore when y'all uninstall it), but when i re-installed it it close right off again at around 60. Going to endeavor this once more today to ostend it. The new battery i bought as y'all mentioned wasn't an OEM battery, but again its odd that it would shut off and at around the same percent, lxx on the new ane. I'll go dorsum to you on this examination...
